What is a Thirsty Science Original Painting?
As many of you know, I tell stories about the private lives of animals on Instagram through my #ThirstyScience hula hoop performance series. I also draw about these stories, and am working on an illustrated book about Earth’s eroticism. Lovers, loners, and fans of these snuggly/sexy stories can now order their very own Thirsty Science original, somewhere on the scale between cuter (snuggling birds) to kinkier (it’s called doggy style for a reason) depictions of animals in various angles of embrace.
Specifics
All Thirsty Science originals are on 9x12” white Bristol mixed media 184 lb paper.
These paintings will be made with permanent ink, watercolor and gouache, and shipped in a hard-sided parcel unframed.
The total cost of each custom Thirsty Science Original is $875. There are no refunds. You can either pay in full up front or select the option to pay in installments.
If this painting is a gift, you will be prompted to include their contact info and a gift message upon purchase.
All custom works take anywhere from 4-6 weeks from when the custom questionnaire is filled out to be shipped to you. It’s up to you how long you take to fill out your questionnaire! That’s totally cool, but I won’t start work until that happens. If you have a time constraint, please fill your questionnaire out promptly and indicate that in the form.

Process
Once you have purchased your custom Thirsty Science original (full price or installment) I’ll email you the questionnaire. You’ll tell me what your animal of choice is, how erotically charged vs cuddly you want your piece, whether you’d like names or additional facts about the animal’s life cycle on the piece, etc.
Once you’ve filled out the questionnaire, painting begins! I’ll keep you posted as I go.
If you opted for the payment plan, you’ll get further notifications from Squarespace regarding installments.
Final payment must be received before I can ship to you.
If you’d like to get your piece framed before it comes to you: I can send it to the framer and have it shipped to you. Framing adds time and additional cost to the process- I can’t guarantee how long the framer will need or what costs will be. Framing in NYC, where I live, is often more expensive than custom framing in other areas.
